HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme

India has the world’s second largest number of people living with HIV/AIDS. Sex is very sensitive area and is still a taboo and not a subject of open public discussion. Sex language is a great barrier in communication news. The society organised awareness and free condoms distribution programme among the general public especially taxi driver, rikshawa puller, migrant labour,  JJ Cluster, Slums Truck Drivers Taxi and Auto Drivers, Commercial Sex Workers, Eunuchs, I.V.D.U.s, migrant labours, Hotels, Slums, JJ cluster, Resettlement Colonies, Industrial Areas, Industrial Workers, & Constructions labours and labour colonies around the National highways and villages etc. Most of the migrant labour are in the un-organised sector, are highly mobiles and live in unhygienic conditions in urban slums. Long working hour, relative isolation from the family and geographical social mobility may foster casual sexual relationship and make the highly vulnerable to STDs/ HIV/AIDS. There are many factor for deteriorating of the problem that a large population and population density, low literacy levels and consequent low levels of awareness, HIV/AIDS in one of the most challenging public health problem ever faced by the country.  It may be reduced though awareness. The CWSI focused its sincere efforts on awareness on various social, healths, and HIV/AIDS. The society also conducts Blood Donation camps and free distribution of condoms for safe sex .
