About Us

Connecting Hearts, Changing the World

Founded in 1997, The Child Welfare Society of India (CWSI) is a non-political, non-governmental, voluntary organization dedicated to the holistic development and protection of children, especially the most marginalized. We prioritize children not just because they are vulnerable, but because the foundation of lifelong learning and human development is built in early childhood.

CWSI operates across multiple domains, offering support through:

  • Sponsorship of education for orphans, the physically/mentally challenged, and children from economically weaker sections.

  • Awareness and prevention programs on child sexual abuse, health, reproductive rights, and drug abuse.

  • Special emphasis on girl child education under the motto:
“Educate the Girl, Empower the Girl, Empower the Society, Empower the Nation.”

With a strong belief in education as the catalyst for social change, CWSI provides not only financial support but also organizes vocational training, healthcare camps, environmental awareness drives, and women empowerment initiatives. Under the leadership of Dr. Viveka Kumar, Senior Director at Max Hospital, the Society advocates for a balanced and holistic approach to child and community welfare.
