The educational level of mothers tends to have a strong effect on the mortality of young children. The more of the problems are due to lack of knowledge and education. Educated mothers are healthier themselves, give birth to healthier babies, provide a healthier environment, and are more likely to have information about care options and actively seek care. The health and survival of children is a key index of the level of development of any society and mostly depend on the awareness of mother. Unfortunately, India’s track record on this front continues to be dismal. In India, one out of five every deaths is a child under age; a high proportion of these children could have been saved with basic health interventions The first set of intervention is that essential newborn care like keeping the baby warm, checking the baby’s weight and giving the baby mother’s milk is important. Babies that are premature or have low birth weight will be provided special care. Babies with complication will be referred to health centre. Second, The society encourage through health camps and awareness programmes to concentrate on children under three years of age with programmes in reproductive and child health, child development and nutrition, and child’s environment: sanitation, hygiene, special attention will be placed on interventions that address early learning and care.
